Heavy Powder

So, the snow finally made it to Warwickshire, just as the county council announced that it had no more supplies of road salt. Muppets.

There was a good inch and a half on the car this morning, and by the time the snow had stopped we were touching two inches of pristine white carpet. So it was a treacherous drive into the office; second gear all the way. Most of the people on the road were very well-behaved (save the Land Rover drivers, whom I swear I could see laughing as they zizzed past).

Ufton Hill was a doozy. A 20% gradient up a narrow village road to the ridgeline is a solid climb at the best of times, but some idiot had halted on the incline, forcing a huge tailback. We got around him in the end, but it was slow going.
