Alas, another good one goes. I learned yesterday from myfirstkitchen that Pete Fenelon, aka blue_condition, passed away earlier this week. steer has more information.
Sadly, I never got to meet Pete. Ours was entirely an LJ relationship. But he posted here semi-regularly; his last post was about the Larkin/Betjeman documentary on BBC4. I had the impression we shared a worldview and he would have made a good drinking and curry companion. I shall miss his curmudgeonly presence.
The funeral is on Friday in York. I shall raise a glass to you, Pete. A shame I never got to buy you a round.
