But INTRODUCTORY POSTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THIS COMMUNITY.
Primarily because:
1) This has nothing to do with actual Percy Jackson fanfiction. Advertising communities, and anything that directly addresses percylicious (ie, modposts) are okay, but something as personal as an intros post subtracts from the essence of actual fanfiction.
2) Don't you think it's better if we tried to seek you out on your own? We're not a friending meme. An intros post is just another excuse to add people as friends. Friends are lovely, but a well-made friend is lovelier. If you were to submit a well-written fic into the community, one that grabs people's interest and their minds, you would not have to worry about not making a few friends.
3) There's a reason why posts in this community are moderated. There's also a reason why we don't have an introductions tag. I thought people would understand, but I guess I assumed too much.
This will be an amendment to the rules.
I'm sorry if I seem to be making a big deal out of this, and if other communities seem so much more lax about this, but I know how communities turn bad; how people with bad grammar and spelling start to invade into the area. You've seen the results of the PJO fandom on ff.net. Not pretty, is it?
