Title: Sightless, Part IV: In the Court of Nyx (Brief Excerpt)

Pairing/Characters: Apollo/Thalia, Apollo/Hebe.

Rating/Warnings: Three half-siblings, half-clothed, in a bedroom. That's the worst of it. PG-13.

Summary: "When the tempest of tragedy tears through your life, it is easy to fall in line and do your duty. Thalia Grace, however, just keeps chasing the storm."

Author's Notes:  Rough draft-- Neko has not worked her magic as of yet.

Thalia knocked- two hard taps- on the glimmering door to Apollo's guest room. There was a faint rustle of bedsheets, and Hebe answered.

"Little sister!" she said once Thalia crossed the threshold. The goddess of youth was clad in a pink-and-white candy-stripe underwire bra and matching hipster panties plus bunny stilettos. The door closed. As she kissed her half-sister's cheek, Thalia embraced her. It was more to initiate contact as out of affection. "What brings you here?"

Thalia feigned a pout for the sake of the golden-haired sun god sitting on the other side of the bed. "Sadly, not you," she said.

Hebe broke the embrace after kissing her forehead. "I forgive you."

Apollo cleared his throat as Thalia turned her bright blue gaze upon him. "I got an autodial from the Fates. No rest for the wicked." Smirking at her private joke, she turned back to Hebe. "Would it be a bad idea to keep them waiting?"

"Yes, but it would be a worse idea to go to them dressed like that!" scolded Hera's daughter.

Thalia looked down at herself. She was wearing an old band T-shirt of Luke's and not much else. "Well," she said, clearing her throat. "You're probably right."

"I, for one," announced Apollo, having finally climbed down from the bed and now leaning against the wall in nothing but his boxer shorts, "think you look very sexy."

"I wasn't going for 'sexy' for meeting the Fates," Thalia said, rolling her eyes.

"Of course not," Hebe said, smoothing the tension over. She motioned Thalia over to the wardrobe. "Open the door. It'll find what you need. And put some pants on, Phoebus. It would be a nice change."

Apollo scowled. "I can't help it that I'm obscenely good-looking and the world needs to view me, okay?"

Thalia ignored the banter in the background to view the clothes. A crocheted green sweater and black pants seemed a nice compromise when paired with the navy trenchcoat. She stepped inside and donned them- plus the lacy bra and panties the wardrobe provided- to find Apollo dressed in jeans and absolutely nothing else.

Hebe shook her head indifferently. "You'll have to pay them extra. They hate disrespect."

Leto's son shrugged his bare shoulders.

Thalia raised an eyebrow. "Wait. Pay?"

"Anything valubable. You have something, right?" questioned Hebe.

Thalia thought to the necklace in her pocket and nodded.

Apollo looked her up and down. Thalia controlled her shiver. "Yeah?"

"It's no good. You still look sexy."

She punched him on the arm. "We're off. See you later, Hebe."

"Good luck with the Ladies!" breezed the other girl. "I'll be waiting." She winked at them both.
