An update.

Look at me, I'm keeping in touch with people. How exciting.

The aforesaid report seemed to go over well with Mr Fudge; after perusing it carefully, it was promptly handed over to Dobbs, who said, and I quote, that he would 'see what he could do'.

Now, as much as I detest speaking ill of my co-workers, I have to impart that Dobbs is without question the last person I would ever personally entrust a report of that significance to. He's well known for casually losing forever any and everything handed over to him; indeed, often it seems as if that particular 'talent' is Dobbs' only discernible skill. Sometimes I wonder why a fellow like that is even kept on staff when the only thing he appears to be adept at is making sure things are never seen again.

Perhaps he's dating the secretary.

Here's hoping that wand report will reach the Department for International Co-operation sometime before the next ice age. I only have two other properly-aligned copies left.

Penelope, I hope your classes are going well; I'll be sending Hermes with a letter as soon as I'm through typing this obligatory journal entry. Congratulations as well to Ron and Ginny, this time for passing the Gryffindor quidditch team tryouts with flying colours. Good luck, and please try to be as careful as possible. Believe it or not, quidditch can be a seriously dangerous undertaking if the proper precautions are not taken.

PS. After some deliberation, perhaps I should enlist Mr Dobbs in the safekeeping of last year's Christmas party photographs...
