i'm alive. tired, but alive.

i was all set to do a quick recap, but i realize i don't have the energy for it. so all you're going to get is whatever i want to talk about anyways.

it seems for the last few days ky and i cannot exist in the same place at the same time. since friday, actually. it's quite hilarious. she called me last night to see if i knew anything about her roommate. when i said her roomie was about home, she laughed and said, the place i just left? yes, it was a little funny. hopefully we'll see each other tonight. it could happen!

the weekend was busy, and fun. i saw a lot of friends (except for ky, ha!), got a little exercise wandering around melrose, watched a couple of movies. well, a movie and a half, but the full movie was long enough that it made up for the half movie. i saw half of 'little miss sunshine,' and all of 'the unbearable lightness of being,' which turns out is a three hour movie. who knew?

i've started reading atwood's 'the handmaid's tale' again. it's been several years since i'd read it the first time, and it is affecting me just as much as it did. it's a brilliant book, frightening and beautiful. if you haven't read it, you should. i read it around the same time i read '1984' and 'brave new world.' dystopian novels fascinate me. anyone have any more to recommend?

thursday is payday. this is a good thing. money is an important thing to have.

tomorrow i have to visit the doctor for my yearly exam, which had been rescheduled from last week. i am in for fun times, oh yes. by which i mean boo.

and the last thing i'm burning to tell you all is that i'm reading thru the archives of scary go round at the moment. it's hilarious. the art is wonderful, and the dialogue is snapppy. the story lines are weird, supernatural, and there are many wacky adventures, with sassy characters. it reminds me of good sluggy freelance, only set in england. and it doesn't suck.

happy tuesday, everyone!
