Excellent Valentine's Day
So, life has been much better since last week ended...I got to take a new route around Cincinatti on the way Columbus, which was a bit of an adventure, and the entire weekend was wonderful.
The Date Party was excellent. The frat had a private (or essentially private) comedy show at one of the comedy clubs in Columbus, and it was great. Never been to anything like it.
The rest of the weekend was just so nice...and relaxing...and it was really hard to come back and start the week. So hard, in fact, that I happened to accidentally sleep though my first class monday, which sucks, and I'll see how much trouble I'm in tomorrow.
BUT, I think I have a plan. I still haven't even technically applied for anything yet, but I did talk to the co-op lady about my options, and she seemed to think Winchester was commutable from on campus. She also thought that the 'lean manufactureing bootcamp' would be the best thing ever for me to do. Especially if I wanted to work for Martek (or Harley Davidson or something..). I realized exactly what it costs me since I'm not in-state, and now I'm not as sold on the idea as I was before. Like, if I don't go on vacation, and don't include stuff like rent, I'll probably break even. depending on what they pay me. Bottom line is though that I'll *most likely* be in here, near campus all year round. until I graduate. so I can sign a 12 month lease without worrying about how to get out of it. which makes EVERYTHING just that little bit easier.
Bottom line, I'm feeling happy and my room smells like roses, and everything is good. at least until class tomorrow.
