another 'oh well' day

The saga of today begins with the Tylenol PM I took last night because, well, I can’t fall asleep, and I’m crampy, and a full dose seemed like a good idea.  Once that finally kicked in I slept ok, other than having some weird dreams.  Nondescript, but weird.  However, either drug induced sleep doesn’t count in my body, or stuff gets stuck in my system, because I didn’t really wake up this morning.  Like, I made it to class, but it took all of my concentration to keep my eyes open.  I made it through both classes, and studying, and lunch, but not by much.  I actually napped after lunch, and that is saying something.  I almost never nap.  Usually I am either deathly ill, haven’t slept in 3 days, or coming off of anestesia before I can even doze in and out.  But, I woke up in time to see Katie off, and get some homework done before the meeting.

Which is the next ‘oh well’ portion of my day.  I didn’t realize that I would need to give a speech and compete for my office, so, naturally, my nervous inarticulate self didn’t get it.  It defiantly didn’t help that Kate had clearly mapped out what she was going to say beforehand.  I’m disappointed because I was looking forward to an exec board position, and actually knowing what is going on in the sorority.  It is a small group, but being in a position of power I could have actually made some improvements, like having great socials, and date parties, and stuff like that.  But, oh well, I guess I’m free of major responsibility, and Nick will be happy.  What is even more discouraging is that I really don’t get another chance at this.  If I co-op, I’ll be gone for all of the next term.  I’ll be around for the one after that, but I will have been gone for an entire year.  And we are talking a very long time from now.

In the mean time, I’ll work on my physics, hope lab hasn’t ruined my GPA, and try to make the rest of the night a little better.
