Untitled, Elizabeth Weir/Radek Zelenka, PG-13.

#1: air
As Elizabeth stared out at the ocean sparkling in the sunset, Zelenka murmured, "Somehow, everything seems clearer in this air."

#2: apples
"How do you like them apples?" John crowed, not noticing the guilty look Elizabeth and Radek exchanged.

#3: beginning
It came to Radek that he couldn't think of anything more beautiful than Dr. Weir was, standing there silhouetted in the open Stargate.

#4: bugs
Radek wished he had time to be in the control room with Dr. Weir, laying a gentle, reassuring hand on her arm and telling her that they'd find a way to get the 'jumper through and get the bug off of Major Sheppard's neck.

#5: coffee
Well, if drinking this horrible American coffee was the only way to spend some quality time with Dr. Weir in the commissary, then Radek would just have to get used to the stuff.

#6: dark
Elizabeth flailed blindly in the dark, her eyes not adjusted, until she grabbed hold of something solid--Radek.

#7: despair
Everyone reacted to the impending attack differently: Rodney never stopped moving; Kavanaugh began propositioning female members of the team, reminding them that tonight could be their last night; Zelenka put down his work and went to go see Dr. Weir.

#8: doors
"Rodney, when I asked you for help with a plan to get alone with Dr. Weir, luring her out onto the southeast pier and then cutting the power to the doors was not what I had in mind!"

#9: drink
Every time the Marines dragged Major Sheppard in--drunk--from another round of "trade negotiations," Radek had to watch Elizabeth stare starry-eyed after the intoxicated, funny-haired, idiotic ubozak.

#10: duty
Rodney rolled his eyes when Dr. Weir talked about "duty," but he noticed that Zelenka seemed to take it far too seriously.

#11: earth
Elizabeth looked up at him suddenly, the words tumbling out of her mouth: "Radek, who did you leave behind, back on Earth?"

#12: end
"How are things with Simon?" Radek asked upon Elizabeth's return from Earth, but one quick look told him that he'd asked the wrong question and all of that was over.

#13: fall
Everyone found out about John and Rodney when Rodney fell--was pushed--off the balcony with the Ancient shield device around his neck; everyone found out about Radek and Elizabeth when she mentioned in a meeting something he was researching that no one else knew about.

#14: fire
"He said I was breaking his concentration and that the best thing I could do to fix the DHD would be to leave him alone," Zelenka said with a laugh, settling in next to the campfire and not minding at all as Elizabeth snuggled up closer to him.

#15: flexible
For as strict and rigid as Elizabeth was as a leader, she was anything but when in bed--Radek hadn't known that people could even bend like that.

#16: flying
Elizabeth couldn't believe that she felt as giddy as she did as the 'jumper took to the sky, but maybe it was less about the height and more about the pilot--Zelenka sat behind the controls, looking not quite casual and more than a little nervous.

#17: food
Elizabeth eyed the picnic basket Zelenka had clenched in his hands, wondering who it was for and what was it in.

#18: foot
"Whatever you do, don't use idioms!" Radek told Elizabeth quickly as she stared at Rodney, who (quite literally) had his foot in his mouth.

#19: grave
Radek laid a little bouquet of flowers on his wife's grave, saying something quiet and sad in Czech, while Elizabeth stood back at a respectful distance and wondered at him.

#20: green
Elizabeth found herself pining for the greenery they'd moved out of the city hallways, even if it was dead; Zelenka had shyly brought her a bright green potted plant he'd obviously gotten himself from the mainland and her heart had nearly burst.

#21: head
"This is why I never go offworld," Radek thought, unconsciously reaching up to touch his soon to be severed neck, wondering what Elizabeth would think if he came home with no head.

#22: hollow
The headboard against the wall made a hollow sound; Zelenka was always half-worried that someone, possibly Kavanaugh, was lurking behind the wall, listening to him and Elizabeth.

#23: honor
He looked at Elizabeth passed out in his bed and wished he wasn't such an honorable man.

#24: hope
Radek had only seen Elizabeth let her guard down once--they had been alone, talking about the preparations for the impending attack, and suddenly she was crying into his shoulder about how they were no hope left for the city.

#25: light
Light burst into all the dark places of the city as it rose up out of the water, and Radek couldn't help but imagine Dr. Weir's eyes shining in this newfound sun.

#26: lost
Elizabeth looked around helplessly, wishing that Rodney was on the outside of this maze working on how to get them out and that Zelenka was stuck on the inside with her and not the other way around.

#27: metal
As Rodney rambled about their new discovery, Radek held the chunk of metal in his hands where Elizabeth could see it, silently willing it into the shape of a flower.

#28: new
Radek traced the new scar on Elizabeth's arm, watching as she tried to hide his discomfort at his touch.

#29: old
Older Elizabeth opened her eyes and smiled at Radek standing at her bedside, saying, "We like you, don't we."

#30: peace
Elizabeth liked the idea of an office with an actual door--not only would she actually get some peace and quiet, but there were times when she felt like doing things to Radek that she didn't want everyone else to see.

#31: poison
Radek didn't know if he could live up to the trust in Dr. Weir's quick look as she bargained with the Wraith about to poison the city's air supply, buying him some time to reroute the system.

#32: pretty
She bit back a smile as Zelenka stammered that she looked "very pretty."

#33: rain
They stand at the window and watch the hurricane make its way towards the city, the rain pounding on the glass, Zelenka's hand brushing gently against hers.

#34: regret
Elizabeth was the one who wrote the "We deeply regret to inform you" letters in all cases, but the one to Radek's family twisted her up inside in impossible ways.

#35: roses
He watched expectantly as she twisted the bottle open, filling the room with the smell of Ancient roses.

#36: secret
"Come on," Rodney said, prodding Zelenka in the ribs, "I know there's something you're not telling me."

#37: snakes
It was at this point that they discovered the snakes on the puddlejumper.

#38: snow
The blizzard came on suddenly, shorting the power and leaving Elizabeth incriminatingly stranded in Radek's room at three in the morning.

#39: solid
Elizabeth still remembers the day she learned she could really count on Radek.

#40: spring
Rodney gleefully waved the piece of paper he'd found, proclaiming to the bewildered lab team that Dr. Weir made Zelenka think of spring flowers.

#41: stable
He starts to say, "Don't make too loud noises, because the foundations are unstable here," but partway through this statement Elizabeth has him pinned up against the wall.

#42: strange
When Radek asked her one day after sex if she didn't find all of this a little bit strange, Elizabeth had to laugh--what was "strange" anymore?

#43: summer
When summer came, he started finding flimsy excuses to take her to the mainland for picnics.

#44: taboo
Radek's mouth formed a little "o" and he managed to say, "I think that's illegal in my country."

#45: ugly
After the reactor core accident, Elizabeth found it difficult to spend time with Radek, although she knew that if it had been the other way around he would never have left her side.

#46: war
"Do you think you can run things any better?" she screamed at Zelenka, not caring who heard.

#47: water
Looking back, Elizabeth realized that Radek had been wearing his "I'm concerned" face through the entire meeting; it wasn't until the very end that he had the courage to speak up and say that he was worried about the integrity of the city's water shielding systems.

#48: welcome
"It's not that you're not welcome here," Zelenka soothed, "It's just that my parents always expected me to settle down with a nice Czech girl."

#49: winter
The first winter was particularly cold, but Elizabeth found she was rather fond of some of the things Radek did to keep her warm.

#50: wood
He stared at the pile of wood waiting to be split and then back to Dr. Weir, looking perplexed and explaining that he'd always been better with mechanical things than out-doorsy things.
