Previously Nott became a young adult, the Wonder Twins protested the heir poll and Devon's engram_au children proved to be a handful.
This time...
Starring simmytizzy (the founder) and Victor (one of my own) and Cambia's six children.
Continuing from our last update Barri is trying to remember the last time he was able to do something creative...like say paint. Oh wait, some big stupid person sitting next to him has been hogging the easel!
Bestla has been consumed by her overwhelming desire to make the perfect aquarium and if she's not stalking her sister fishing she's reading about fishing.
Meanwhile Helga has been generating some much needed cash for the family by searching for stars. Why? No particular reason beyond trying to pull the family out of poverty. This week's mini-challenge is 6:2 Bruce All new sims and pets must be named Bruce.
Who needs sleep when there are fish that need to be studied?!
So why does Cambia want to see the new babysitter dead you didn't ask?
Maybe because Hyrja has only been crying for the last few hours and disturbing everyone who has been trying to work and he's busy playing chess...

Bet you thought I was going to say Victor, but no. Sadly. However their incredibly awkward attempts at flirting managed to remind them that they don't think the other is so bad so back to bed sharing! Whew. Crisis averted!
Meanwhile Barri, who I tend to lose track of, decided he wanted to be cultured and critique a chair down by the museum. Well at least it wasn't the toilet on display.
He only put her down for a pass out nap when she came out and started wailing next to his foot non-stop. Greatest babysitter yet.
But then again, when he wasn't playing chess he was randomly carrying Torfa around. New evil minion?
Nott's come a long way from that blob portrait! I actually really liked that one and kept it. In her mom's bedroom, because I think Nott is trying to tell her something.
And Victor continues to be the only sim being willing to feed the children. *headdesk*
Everyone tries to keep Bestla's fish alive because Samir the Goldfish died and it's hard enough finding perfect fish the first time, I only kind of force them under penalty of death gently coax them to take better care of their pets.
Listen. I don't play favorites. I completely do don't. Victor's getting on in years, there are only going to be so many appearances of the hula undies!

So. Why is Barri sitting on the ground near his sisters? Well it so happens that Bestla wanted to do her homework with Helga. So I had them both go to do that. Barri decided he also wanted to do homework with Helga and was unceremoniously shooed off. BECAUSE NO ONE SPLITS THE TWINS APART!
Poor little kid, left to sit on the ground next to them, shunned. THEY'RE NOT TELLING ME ANYTHING AT ALL ARE THEY?!

Torfa Evil/Virtuoso and now a Coward. That's not conflicting in the slightest. Torfa now perceives the world in shades of evil. It's not sleeping in her bed, it's Evil Slumber.
Hyrja Insane/Athletic and a Daredevil. Which means everything she does is extreme. Who takes a shower when you can take an EXTREME SHOWER UNTIL EXTREMELY CLEAN? I have to admit when I first saw these I cracked up. Bravo Maxis, very clever.
Victor is determined to get a star named after each one of the children, his or not his. He might name one for Cambia too, she's pretty okay right now.
Drawback number eleventybillion of having an insane sim? Occasionally they try to choke themselves.
Don't worry though! Torfa is here to help!

So this is Nott's man. Okay he's not her man, yet. She's working on it. I've been keeping her to work on the proper founder portrait and she's been rolling wants for a man. So meet VJ Alvi. He's one of the original neighborhood playables.
She likes him. A lot. Since none of Victor's kids are eligible for heir, I don't have mods in my game to give me same sex pregnancies, and I only have so many pixel_trade males to choose from I'm letting the girls get with townies.
Nott's hopeless romantic trait is kicking into high gear. So far I know that VJ is a snob from their conversations.
Hey, maybe Nott's going a little fast here, and please tell her if she is VJ, but would-you-like-to-go-steady-and-then-give-her-babies? y/y?
Come on, her pink skin and red eyes, your blue hair and blue eyes...it's a match made in primaries!
And Nott surpasses her mother by not getting rejected for her first kiss.
But she's not dumb enough to invite VJ over just yet. She's got an heir portrait to finish before she introduces VJ to the parents!
Meanwhile Hyrja and Torfa are constantly rolling desires to go to the park.
Just make sure you finish before curfew so you're not like your delinquent fish obsessed sister.

Actually this might be when Samir died...or is that one of the Bruce's? There were a lot of Bruce's in the fish kingdom this week. Especially when I was using the hand tool to dump in each individual fish because I didn't catch on to the fact that the stock option probably meant I could scroll through her inventory much more quickly.
The Hardbottle legacy of scaring the bus driver lives on. Only this time I would be afraid bus lady. They're evil and insane. That's a scary combination.

Remember Randall the babysitter that used to mess with Victor? Well Helga has been trying to hook him up with Bestla! We'll see how this progresses. :D
I took this one because Helga had gotten so many stars and named them after herself or her sister that I was out of ideas so I asked my husband for a name... So Helga discovered Dogstar the Star. And my husband is banned from naming anything in my game. Again.
The younger twins proving that they too can be just as co-dependent as their older sisters...
You can't see Barri's face clearly with the resize, but let's just say he's disgusted with his big sister Nott for giving up her art and sacred easel rivalry for some stinky guy.

Oh yeah and Helga was too busy winning at her LTW job as an up-and-coming Surgeon to be involved or aware of the family drama.
Helga caught her up though between reading more fish books.
Then the dreaded night came...

The olympics concluded while she was flirting. Barri and Torfa did okay. Hyrja won the gold. 0.o
Meanwhile Bestla was fishing for more perfect specimen when what do I spy...

At the beach with VJ and his brother whose name escapes me at the moment.
But first, let's return to Helga who is informing her flirt that she's a great kisser.

And then had a few more for good measure. Helga's not that serious about him, but it's nice to see her interact in a way that's not just, 'first guy I saw, you must be my ONE TRUE LOVE!'
Cambia is still alive and plugging away at her Battle Gnome series trying to get her LTW of 4k in royalties a week.
Victor was feeling a little stir crazy so I sent him to go look at the 'art' in the museum. Note Barri's chair and the toilet in the background. I think Victor was assessing the stairs he just climbed. An art lover he is not.
So since Bestla wasn't catching fish hard enough and had rolled the desire to tutor another sim in fishing...

And I found Barri randomly talking to the death plant in the cemetery after I sent him out to go pick up seeds for a garden. THIS FAMILY IS COMPLETELY SANE!
Hyrja, gets lost in her backyard. Has a hard time not running straight into people, but is able to bicycle great distances and climb mountains to find asteroid fragments. Idiot savant?
Don't worry, he's not stealing someone's garden. He's stealing some wildlife park's garden!
And Torfa is spying on the neighbors looking for stars of her own.
