Tell me how this happens...
I have a friend named David who is the most innocent, non-threatening person in the world. On his way home last night he got pulled over by the cops for a broken turning signal. When the cop scanned his DL he arrested David because he was suspected of vandalizing a car on May 1. He had a warrant out for his arrest. So, not only was he wrongfully arrested for this crime, but now he is out $500.00 for bail, lawyer fees, and he had to get his vehicle out of impound. I feel so terrible for him. What scares me is that these cops are arresting innocent citizens for crimes they did not commit. How many others have been wrongfully accused? I hope everything works out for David, but what saddens me is that he is like one of the poorest people I know and he probably will not get a dime of that money back. How sad! Argh, cops make me angry sometimes...
