I'm at Lísa's.
On her iTunes, I found a MixDisk I made in 2008, I think. One I'm pretty proud of, and only now do I realize that I didn't really give proper explanation of my intent with it, which is shameful really. It was supposed to be a story about love, about being ill and the importance of introspection. Each song illustrating a literal moment in time, an interaction or an internal struggle. The premise was simple enough, the girl and the bloke have been apart for a while now, and she's always carried a bit of a torch for him regardless of how he's treated her. He plays her like a fiddle, sleeps with her and then publicly decries her as a slut. (Illustrated by Bloodhound Gang's excellent "I'm the Least You Could Do") The following five songs take her through the five steps of grief, and then rush forward to the ultimately tragic conclusion.
All of you who got the CD, I'm sorry I didn't explain, but if you still got it lying around somewhere, this is an excellent reason to dig it up, and pop it right in! I know the first song is pretty bad, but stick with it, the choice is intentional. Söngurinn er falskur, en það er pilturinn líka.
Looking forward to watching Mickey Rourke talking with a Russian accent while swinging lazer whips around tonight.

I clearly need to get into framing.
