I got a lot of work done on the illustrations for tech week at CRHC. It earned me an invite to their luncheon which I'm pretty psyched for. Mom always tells me of the great expensive shit that they eat and to be quite frank, I love food.

My mom always heads these crazy weeks. Last year I helped her make a crap-load of posters. The theme this year was "What would you be doing if you weren't a tech?" My mom came into my room- it seems like weeks ago- and asks me "Are you good at drawing?" After a couple minutes of conversation, I had an idea. I drew a sketch, inked it, had Jason scan it, colored it on Photoshop, and BAM. It hit my mom like a bag of bricks. She loved how it looked and now we're here, sixteen done, with another twelve to go. I really enjoy this project though. It's been so long since I doodled anything and when I started, it got my hands working again. It actually inspired me to do a new project which I plan to kick off by next week. The range of professions also gave me a challenge. Some people had answers like 'ballerina/math teacher' and 'cashier/west point cadet' so mom had the idea to draw what that person would be like doing both jobs. Genius! Those were the most fun. I love my mom's creativity. Never seizes to impress me. Here's a couple: a florist, world's # 1 dad, entrepreneur/surgeon, Hallmark card writer.**[11/2 edit]
So I hope a lot of people see it down at the 155 building, but that would mean people would be hurt or pregnant to come see them, so I take it back. I wish everyone well. I still have a lot more work to go on it, but I am not distressed. I know I'll finish in time. It's weird how I've felt all day. Can't put my thumb on it.
OH! I keep forgetting, mom and I's voter registration cards came in on Friday? So many things were going on between then I forgot to note it. That is definetly something I wanna remember when I read back in this journal. For some people this election is just another one. For my mother and I, this is our first as citizens!
