my 100th poem in under two years...
This poem was inspired from Buffy. I'm behind the rest of my family and I'm just finishing season three and what I watched today was a bit emotional, so I was inspired to write something. It would be in the perspective of Buffy to Angel. It helps if you know some of the story line of it to understand it a bit better. So here it is...let me know what you think...
"True Happiness" For Me
My dearest night walker
I write this for thee
To put the indescribable into words,
to say what you mean to me
Absolutely good with words
For that am I
But with these words I have trouble
because you lift me up so high
You take me up so high it's hard to breathe
You take me to the point of no return
That is but a glimpse of your works
For in my heart the passion does burn
It all starts with your intriguing eyes
The ones that strike oh so deep
The beautiful eyes in which I get lost
The ones intense enough to make my heart leap
Then to blame next is that look
you always get upon your face
The one so comforting and assuring
that all pain it does erase
Then I blame your heart
Although missing, it still seems to be there
Otherwise how can you so much express feelings
How can you so much for me care
Almost last but no least
I blame your gentle touch
The one caressing both mind and body
Making me want you so much
But for that event to happen
we would be sacrificing your soul
Putting many in grave danger
paying the ultimate toll
Lastly I do blame your love
for which I most certainly share
It's the kind that will never die
It's going to always be there
I shower thee with many thanks
For it has been "true happiness" for me
Before we go our separate ways, this you must know,
in my heart, there you will always be
