I broke my vow to be a studious student and wound up missing class this morning due to my inability to sleep last night coupled with the fact I had to drive downtown early this morning to return Phoenix's bloody camera equipment.
Bah.
Well I've been working all afternoon on research stuff, articles etc. Even began to work on my massive project for Anthropology (case study) where you pick a subculture to study in-depth.
I chose the rave scene because a)its accessible. b) I have many, many contacts within the Dallas/Ft Worth scene. c) I was once a participant so I have two sides of the spectrum to talk about.
Not looking forward to my on-site observation (means I get to hang out at raves and avoid old faces such as the ex and his poss of pricks.) I am not asking Phoenix to join me because he hates the lot of them (biased individual) AND a lot of them hate him for telling them the truth (you are fucking losers) xD
I do not condone a little partying or use of drugs in recreation, BUT I do see the inevitable downside to constant drug use and partying. Which is what I want to focus on - the newbie PLUR-tastic raver, and the ex-raver who has left the scene.
Should be very interesting. I need to talk to my professor about how to formulate questions. Also need to contact Kat about our serious debunking of working out last week - she was sick and I was busy.
