Hallucinations or maybe a mirage...

Is it just me or has there been an exceptionally large scorpion wandering the castle?

I think I'm losing my mind. Or finding it...whichever is more scary.

Who was stupid enough to bring a scorpion into the castle?!

Someone that doesn't abide by the laws of conventionality in regards to pets.

Please, restate the obvious again, Evan.

You really need to learn to relax, Evans. Antares is mine...a birthday gift from someone you obviously find to be "stupid," I believe you said. I'll be collecting him shortly. I haven't a clue how he got out of my dorm.

You have a scorpion as a pet? Are you crazy?

Indeed.

Are you out of your mind?

It's no different than any other pet if you know what you're doing.

There are rules, Rosier, that specify which pets are ALLOWED. It said that and specified which those were in the Hogwarts letter you receieved first year!

You're under the assumption I'm the only one in the castle that doesn't have a "classic" definition of a pet. Because honestly, I'm not the only one. And besides, school will be over in a few months.

That's beside the point. Scorpions aren't exactly known to be the safest pet!

I don't recall hearing of anyone being hurt. They don't tend to strike unless provoked.

Again, that is entirely beside the point!

Yes, because it seems the point is to take your frustrations out on the closest target. Sorry, but I don't intend to be that person now or ever.

The reason behind my frustration is because you thought it'd be okay to bring a pet that you otherwise knew wasn't allowed!

I believe I said Antares was a gift. Most people have no control over their gifts. But then again, you have control over everything, now don't you? So it honestly wouldn't surprise me that you can't understand such a concept.
