Zombie plan

Well, its been a while since my last post, and there's a lot to catch up with (including my anger at the fact that I'm stuck at my dads for another two weeks with an xbox that wont play the DLC for dragon age or borderlands) .

but for now, this post is about my zombie survival plan. I'm a little drunk atm, having consumed a few nice cold beers, but

Contrary to what the movies say, a chainsaw is not an ideal weapon because 1) it needs fuel 2) It is heavy and 3) it can hurt you just as badly (see Dawn of the Dead for example).

I'de pack around a machete and a large crow bar.

And don't forget your copy of "The Zombie Survival Guide"!

This is why I chose to not actually use one, unless its in a game (* contented sigh* Left 4 Dead 2)... They are also noisy as hell. Which, typically, attracts zombies. So really, they are no good.

I'm of the opinion that melee weapons are the way to go - as a good friend of mune puts it, you don't need to reload Katanas. (thats his Zombie Apocalypse Weapon of Choice.)

All seems pretty straight forward.

I'd add in some rifles for ship defence.

.22 Ammunition is realtively cheap and in large supply, so people can train with it without supplies being drained away.

Plus skeet and target shooting can help with boredom by giving people things to do...

true. The issue with us though would be being able to access ammunition - although I;m sure we could work that out fairly well.

we do definitly need a ship defence system. I guess thats something to add to the Plan! *gets to work planning defence*

Look at what the pirates do...repelling boarders...

At least we all know that zombies, who may or may not be able to swim, cannot figure out how to make a boat move.

Another thing, however, is that other people will try to take what you have so you have to be prepared to repel pirates.

wait..... what if we are the pirates?? hah! Pirates fighting zombies! it should be a game for my 360.

I guess the idea behind a boat is that zombies either will not be able to swim, or at the very least it's safer than land since they probably won't be able to swim well. Also, we were going on the theory of scent, and there's less of a trail if we go over water. And thanks for the bullets tip!

You can make your own bullets...it's actually not hard once you have a mold down and you can usually find those on the net...best to get them before the appocalypse...
