No, it's an interesting thread that runs through the reviews for fanfiction - Sookie is never allowed to forgive Bill for anything, barely allowed to forgive Quinn (even if he hasn't been turned into a psycho), and should be on her toes around Sam (because you know he kept that whole library secret from her so is totally untrustworthy), and yet the moment Eric shows the slightest hint he might regret what he did, she's exhorted to take him back. It's so weird when you stand back and look at it.

Oh yeah, she'd be a treat for a Were or a shifter because she might moan if they wanted to mess up her land at the full-moon and leave disgusting deer carcasses too close to the house, but you know she'd still basically be OK with it.

But, I think, that as she'd be wary with vampire politics, she'd be wary of shifter or Were politics now. She's been embroiled in enough crap from Alcide, Debbie, Jannalynn and even seen the realities of HotShot (the breeding obligations and the hand-breaking rituals) to probably want to find herself a nice loner. A Sam who isn't actually Sam, I guess.

I have patted the tiger cubs at Australia Zoo. I was a little disappointed they weren't as plush as Earl, their fur is all wiry.

It is completely weird. Sookie's not supposed to have standards at all. And even worse, she's supposed to look at Bill's actions and condemn him as weak(being forced by the Queen), Quinn's actions and condemn him as weak(being forced by Felipe) but not look at Eric's actions (being forced by Appius and now no longer forced) and feel sorry for him. I think it's just an indication of how unfair people can be and it's kinda disgusting. Eric can crap all over Sookie in fanfic, and they'll still exhort her to beg for more.

Lol - indeed. And she's perfectly situated with all those lovely secluded woods.

I agree - and I note that she got into it with Quinn and did consider Sam more than Alcide just because of the lack of politics. It looks like there's plenty of shifters around. She could always go out on the town with Luna and find a new man.

Oh yes - they look pretty from far away, but up close they're rough little killing machines. I think I'd like the idea of riding on the back of a tiger, like on the cover of Definitely Dead. :D

Well, no, Eric is never weak or not totally in control of himself, hence all those lovely swaps that happen of Godric for Appius. You know, so for the last thousand years it's been like 'The Hangover', all male bonding and drinking too much fairy-blood, hanging out and generally being blokey. Yeah, right.

Sookie's woods would be a huge selling point (and that sounds like a double-entendre), and she would be happy staying on there, so whoever she wanted to date would get the benefit of Sookie and her land.

I would love to read the story where she goes out with Luna! They actually seemed to be having fun at the wedding, despite the death and mayhem. Maybe the cute Chinese Were cop has a friend?

Have you ever read any Angela Carter? I love her stuff (she did a story based on the 17th century play by John Ford, ''Tis Pity she's a Whore', as though it was a Western directed by John Ford. Brilliant), but I always remember her story 'The Tiger's Bride' and how when the main character at the end transforms into a tiger, her diamond earrings become drops of water running down her beautiful fur. I've loved the idea of being a tiger ever since :)

Lol - the Hangover. And yeah, Eric is always powerful in control in the minds of his fangirls. Even him being tortured by his feelings for Sookie is really his beneficent paternalistic way of trying to get Sookie to realise his love.

Oooh yes. I'm sure it'd be nicely positioned so that if you wanted to date someone from Long Tooth or Sharp Claw, you're okay. And you could even use it to launch a takeover of territory.

It would be great to read more Luna. I'm sure that the Chinese Were does have lots of friends. :D

I haven't - but I'll be looking out for that. I do love Betty Sharpe's Ember. That's a fairy tale I can get behind.
