Uploaded some SD pictures - half of which I took while drunk, which proves I'm a natural (at taking pictures, not drinking, silly!) I also did a massive leaf study, but I'll spare you, for now. But they're good. Must.Buy.Color.Printer.
I know! The rust! Aaaah!!! If I could state the single object I have been obsessed with throughout my whole photography career, it would be. . . rust. YUM. (Although it's not rust-colored moss, it's this ubiquitous succulent that drapes almost every SD freeway. Lemme see if I have a better closeup shot.)
Ha ha ha. I use to have a rust collection. One of my first photo's was of a rusted water pipe - you know the really big ones? But I just couldn't capture the colours properly. Whereas you have. :-D
Rust often requires saturation - either in the darkroom or via digital manipulation - to get the tones right. My hunch is that it is sooo powerful, it resists all attemps at proper photography. Mmm rusty pipes, my favorite :D
The part that you don't see in the pictures is when Jim dared me into the ocean, and I was so wooooah that a small wave came and splashed my pants, and as I tried to run away, I fell back and got swamped by the wave. So. . .I swam way way out in my wet clothes and tried to find sharks. But there were none, so I came back after awhile, and then went running on the beach, and my pants were so heavy from the seawater that they kept falling off to reveal my orange stripey underwear - which looked like a bikini bottom anyway so it wasn't too bad. I musta looked pretty ridiculous though. Loads of fun, except for the salt water up my nose.

Just kidding.
And thank you. . . soon I hope to be able to offer prints to friends, should they want them.

Can you tape that call? Cause that would be down right funny.
