Pimping: Last.fm

Feb 01, 2008 01:08

It's all meek's fault. She posted a last.fm meme, and now I've spent **hours** futzing around with this site. My current toy is the "playlist" feature. They have bunches of entire tracks available, and I'm basically recreating my mp3 collection there, to the best of my ability to do so. And with 85 tracks so far (out of 536 or so), that ability's not too shabby.

I've only been able to find one Chinese song for my playlist so far, though.

Anyway, my profile's here, fwiw.

I get a real kick out of the fact that the Backyardigans (the upper right-hand corner of the icon) have a listing. Lazytown does, too, but I'm not about to change my Julianna Moriello and Stefán Karl tags.

And I'm extremely bummed to find that Chris Whitley (the largest picture in the icon) died in 2005. At least I got to see him live once (which is how I discovered him -- he opened for Tom Petty in 1991).

And, finally, my playlist, which amounts to about 1/6 of the mp3s on my computer (at the moment, I'm adding more all of the time):
