Today is October 30th and I just realized that I have been lazy and haven’t posted anything since June… Even if you ignore COVID, a lot of stuff happened this summer, between Kelly and I we had one fractured shoulder, one separated shoulder, one thyroid cancer surgery, one radioactive iodine treatment and just to make life more interesting we bought a place and had to move all while taking care of Finn, who turned 9 months today… :) So here it is - Summer of COVID 2021 in pictures...
Back in June enjoying warm weather and cottage life
Everything was going well...
until I fractured my shoulder mountain biking... I couldn’t even push the stroller or change diapers so our friends came to the rescue
When we told them “come sailing with us”, I don’t think they realized that Kelly was recovering from her surgery while Yurii had fracture shoulder, so they actually have to sail the boat... :)
Thankfully I was able to continue working remotely, so we were back to the cottage
Finn did learn how to sleep on the sailboat
Kelly would feed him while we were sailing on heel
My sister Diana and Kelly organized and awesome DJ party
My shoulder was slowly healing and I could even pretend that I know what I’m doing... :)
Wednesday night race at QCYC
Back to the cottage
Riding bikes
I’m looking after Finn while Kelly doing some runs with Lisa
Family portrait
Island life
Sailpast at QCYC
another Wednesday night race at QCYC
another cottage weekend
Back to Toronto Islands for an airshow
I actually managed to score few kiting sessions at the island as well...
Back at home, pool is cool
Had few more sailing days in September
Then October came
I still managed to bike once in a while through September and October
Then one weekend we played tennis
went for one more sail
and then it was time to demast the boat... :(
and that’s a wrap on Summer of COVID 2021
We now return to our regular scheduled programming...
