1a. Internet works. Only took a month to get around to organising. Go us. We're expecting to get the hot water on any day now. (well. It's on now, but I wish I could say that that wasn't all that far from the truth). Got the telephone on too a week ago, but fucked if either of us can work out what the phone number is, since it's silent for some reason. Ces't la Vie.
1b. Not having the Internet was.. really great. Really. Well other than not having access to the drivers I needed for my motherboard after formatting (long story - don't want to go into it). That part was a real bitch. But I had a lovely break from it all. I had a good reason to not reply to any of my emails, an enormous amount of time unlocked from playing World of Warcraft to spend time playing all the single player games I've been neglecting, I've caught up on sleep, and I've rediscovered my ability to 'take-it-or-leave-it' regarding the stupidness I'd been tolerating on the web lately (WoW is getting not-fun, and I might retire).

2. Work is giving me the final jerk-arounds for old times sake (I'm transfering very soon so I won't need to spend two thirds of my total pay on transport home. Which is good, because I'm sick of surviving off vege-raman noodles.). The past week has been utterly chaotic, and the bakery just can't decide when I'm off and on and on and off and on. I ended up spending the night in the store because I thought that I was supposed to be in there, but it turned out I wasn't. Had the whole store to myself for the night, since I had no way of getting home. Coulda ran around naked had I felt like it, but I didn't. Just sayin'.. I coulda.

3a. Started reading again what with all my travel time, and it's been real neat. I've finished reading Catch-22, and liked it rather a lot. I wanna get a cat for the house and call it Yossarian. But I don't know if thats a last name, or a first time. Not that it matters to the cat.
3b. I don't know what to read next. I've got about a dozen boxes of books I could randomly select a book from. Maybe I will.

4. The new Queens of the Stone Age album, Lullabies To Paralyze, is better than you. Yup.
