I've just read 'Lost In A Good Book', by Jasper Fforde, and am about to start the sequel, 'The Well Of Lost Plots'. They're very good, very funny (first book in the series is 'The Eyre Affair', FYI). That last thing I read without speech quotation marks was "Ulysses", which I abhorred.

The rest sounds interesting, though. I might give them a look-see.

Oh, it's only Death who talks without speech marks - the other characters talk properly. Because that would be really, really annoying, I agree. Terry Pratchett isn't to everyone's taste, though. He can be a bit too sword-and-sorcery.

Dammit, I need more icons. I don't have a yuck one. This'll have to do.
