Went for a walk on Saturday. Or 'hike' might be a better term - I'm not sure how far it was, exactly, but it was following part of a ten-mile trail, of which we covered a good portion. I'm still trying to find the information on how much (there are leaflets somewhere on this walk, if I can just find them…), but from the time it took and the ache in

I love a doctor who'll prescribe such things! Go you! Not so long ago, that sort of thing (in the UK, at least) would have been considered hippy nonsense. :)

Um. Sorry, I appear randomly spammy.
Yay hiking though! And, um, I wanna do a 150 mile loop around London! That sounds cool
hee :) on the fishing. Crazy how any little thing can make us think of our show.
I did work on it though, Abyssis, I swear!
Yay! You'll make it work, I have faith. (I'm almost to 8000 words and I think I'm almost halfway through my plot....I'm INSANE)
Sounds like a fun, yummy weekend. Here's to a productive writing week!

The only thing about the 150 mile loop of London is that it's not in the city enough, and not in the country enough - it's kind of mediocre. Some of it's lovely, but it's very patchy - we had to walk down a couple of really long residential streets, which was pretty boring (aside from observing people's front gardens). It'd be an accomplishment to do the whole thing, but there's much more interesting places to hike - national parks and the like. I do like having places to walk near home, though.
Blimey, 8000 words?! Wow. You are doing well - go you!

I guess. The scary thing is how much I still have to go. 8200 now and the Tok'ra are, I hope, *finally* showing up. This story just keeps going and going...I think Daniel's just being evasive - trying to keep the snake out of his head as long as possible.

I also have problems writing on the weekend. But I often end up thinking better on the weekend, so I know what you mean.

It's good that at least one out of two fics is cooperating, right?
I think some people need their weekends to be completely different from their week. Some people can work on them, or write, or whatever - sometimes I can do that (if I'm being particularly gripped by something I'm writing), but generally I just have to stop and do something physical - although I feel that compulsion a lot more in summer, when I'm craving the outdoors.

So I go on dates, to gatherings of friends, on walks, to the library, shopping...anything outside of the house. And I stay sane.
