Recipe!

I thought I'd do a recipe today. Because... I wanted to. So nyer.

This is sort of my recipe, in that it's a combination of a few other recipes I vaguely remembered from books and TV, from which I evolved my own version. It's very, very easy, can be adapted to whatever flavour you like best, and is much nicer for breakfast than most of the bars you ( Read more... )

The Americans have very strange measurements, and oddly a lack of self raising flour! (I could never get the baking powder thing right ever!) Plus weirdo ingredients like "shortening" or "cool whip" :P

I miss McVities bikkies though, from my days in England - especially the chocolate backed ones. mmmmm

Mm, yes, American recipes... they're weird! Measuring everything by volume... it's just freakish. ;) No self-raising flour? Curses, I was trying so hard to make this a multinational recipe... *looks it up* Okay, for any Americans reading: 1 cup of plain (white) flour, plus about a tsp of baking powder.
