Issues from this morning are somewhat resolved, as I didn't speak to Tyler for an hour after he got home and he got the message. He did two loads of laundry (though they are not put away or anything), took out the trash, and then played with the baby while I cleaned the bathroom.
This evening we went to pick up our couch I found on Freecycle. It's not in bad shape at all. The only thing wrong with it, besides a slight amount of cat damage on one arm, are the legs. One is broken. My dad told me he would fix it for us, but we decided to just leave the legs off. It's close to the ground, but not uncomfortable. This way when Rosie gets more active in a few months she can hop on and off the couch with less injury.
Danny helped us carry the couch. Then he and Tyler rearranged most of the furniture up here while I directed. Now everything is a total disaster, but arranged nicely. The only snag we hit was with the crib. It wouldn't fit through the door way! We're going to have to take it apart this weekend then put it back together in the living room. Grrar.
It actually feels like a comfortable home up here now that everything isn't crammed into two rooms and we have a couch we can comfortably sit on.
While we went to pickup the couch Rosie stayed with my MIL. As it turns out the poor babe screamed the entire time! She screamed so hard she was shaking. I feel so bad for her. As soon as I held her she stopped and then turned around and smiled at my MIL. Heh. She just missed me.
Now she's laying in bed snuggled around my left arm. Every now and then her eyes will fly wide open and she'll look at me, grin, then drift back to sleep.
I love these moments.
