Spider lovers of the world, don't hate me...

I just did battle with the nastiest spider I have seen in a long time. I always go to the front window to pluck my eyebrows (sunlight is key). I stand by the front door which has a venetian blind on it. Well, as I am standing there (cue scary movie music) I see the shadow of a spider behind the blind

I love ants too, and it is really sad to have to kill them. They are soooooo harmless, but unfortunately when they are overwhelming your kitchen, there isn't much you can do. Every other insect better watch the fuck out. They are going down without mercy. Dude, the thought of this fucking spider on me as I sleep - unbearable.

Well, I HATE ants. In San Antonio (and south Texas) there are big Texas fire ants and they're some mean bastards.

I remember when I lived in Georgia as a little girl we had these ants out in the fields called "red velvet" ants... which I realize now are not actually ants. Icky.

I also see that "red velvet 'ants'" are big in TX too. I get the feeling my battles will become more numerous!
