yeah, so me and my roommies sat up and devised this one night while watching an old episode of "showtime at the apollo"....

1. 1. The original Apollo with the Sandman (not this new fool tap dancing in his air force ones. )
2. Karl Kani (remember the colored shirts with the big ol' signature across the front? lol)
3. Kross Kolours jeans... (to match your Karl Kani shirts, of course!)
4. Cartoon character towel jackets (I wanted the Little Mermaid, but my grandmother wasn't hearing me....)
5. In Living Color (may our drinks be cold, our lovers hot, and may all your problems slide off like snot! lol)
6. Jodeci Boots (+10 if your name was airbrushed on the side)
7. French Rolls and Finger Waves (+5 if you put them together)
8. Jew town (where else would you get your towel jacket from?)
9. Click Clacks (a.k.a. those annoying things that you could hear a mile away)
10. Pacifiers (in your hair, around your neck, even with bubbles inside!)
11. OPP and First Down jackets.
12. Men with designs cut into the back of their fades (everyone had that friend with the nike swoosh....)
13. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (now, i know they still show reruns, but remember when they were new?)
14. The BOX (music television YOU control)
15. Video Soul, Video Vibrations, Planet Groove, Carribean Rhythms, and Teen Summit. (BET had it ALL!)
16. Blue Razz Blow Pops (until someone told us the blue dye would give us cancer... how many of us would have cancer right now if it did? scary, huh?)
17. Kool-Aid and Fun Dip. (I mean, Kool -Aid in a bag with sugar that you ate... my granny found mine and thought it was cocaine. hil-ar-i-ous.)
18. "Friday". (the original. Smokey. Ezel. 'nuff said.)
19. TGIF (it's friday night, and the mood is right... gonna have some fun, show you how it's done, TGIF)
20. Reebok Lights and Pumps.
21. Spandex pants with slouch socks (and the pants HAD to be flourescent. HAD to be. with big ol shirts. )
22. Flannels.
23. Those t-shirts with gansta Taz and Bugs dressed like Kris Kross (i don't know if these were nationwide, but they were the SHIT in chicago. lol.)
24. Fila skirts (the little tennis ones? why? who did we know in the hood playing tennis? lol)
25. Skorts.
26. DA BULLS. (lol i still love the bulls. michael, scotty, bj, toni, steve, dennis... and phil. *tear*)
27. Coke II. (possibly the worst invention ever)
28. Taping songs off the radio... (ha ha ha... fuck a burnt cd. and when you couldn't sit and wait, you'd just let the tape go in case a song you wanted came on....)
29. Kut Klose. (maybe that's personal, but "I Like" was my shit!)
30. Singles. (You could go and buy that one song that you liked so much..... )
31. Nuthin' but a G Thang. (The Chronic was my first explicit tape. )
32. B.O.N.E. Thugs N Harmony
33. Right On!, Word Up!, and Black Beat.... all for those Immature posters.
34. IMMATURE! (Romeo is STILL my husband!) (+15 points if you're from Chicago and went to the Regal to see them... )
