Pepa and silvia

Ok so I was reading other fan fic on pepa and silvia and was thinking of writing my own. This will be the first fanfic I have written and was curious if people still want to read about them. To cut a long story shot are there still as many fans out there that love Pepa and silvia and would want to read my stories?

Love Pepa & Silvia but I don't read fanfics. donnabrooks November 26 2013, 14:33:20 UTC
Hi!

I just discovered Pepa & Silvia in January of this year, and came here hoping to find people with whom to gush about them. However, it's difficult to remain enthusiastic when there is no one else as interested in a topic as you are, so since this board and all the other places I looked were basically dead, I have pretty much moved on. Now my priary interest is in a show that has not even started yet, which is a webseries coming in December based on the Nikki & Nora network TV pilot that never aired about 2 women cops who were partners on the force and were a couple.

I also think it was shitty the way LHDP ended PepSi's story. What a horrible message to send! Anyway, way back in the late '90s when Iwas watching Xena, I read some Xena fanfic and I even still have some of that saved, b/c there actually was some really good stuff written. But I found that wading through fanfiction for my other fave couples (Spashley, Otalia) since then just wasn't worth it. There's just too much BAD fanfiction out there, and I do have a lot of other interests, so I don't want to spend all my time looking for or reading fanfiction.

I also don't find written stories as important now as they were w/ X & G. With them, all we HAD was subtext, (even though it seemed pretty maintext by the second half of season 6!) so if we wanted scenes of them making love, or even kissing passionately, we needed to write them. It wasn't part of the cannon as it has been with the other couples (except for Otalia). So, for me at least, the actual visual images have been fulfilling and I haven't had the need to look to fanfiction. This is especially true of PepSi, since they gave us EVERYTHING, including LOTS of kissing, love scenes, and even a wedding. So there's less for the imagination to fill in. But I'm just one person.

The way I express my interest in couples now is through music videos, or in the case of Nikki & Nora, a teaser/promo I made for the upcoming webseries and a video of heavily edited, condensed interviews swith the 2 stars (who are AWESOME and *very* FUNNY!), and the creator, who is also funny. I also made a PepSi music vid, but the audio was muted by YouTube b/c I used a Beatles song, "Something", and there was a copyright claim made. So if you want to watch that vid, find the song "Something" by THE BEATLES (I timeed the images to match the music down to the split second, so no other version will do), and start it at EXACTLY the moment the video begins and you can enjoy it. I am NOT going to put up a different audio track. Anyway, my PepSi vid is not getting NEARLY as many views as my Cristina & Isabel vid, but that show is currently on the air, so people are actively looking for clips and music vids. In fact, my Crisabel vid is rapidly catching up to my first vid, which was almost a year earlier but which also featured a couple who are no longer on the air. SO, the audience DOES drop off after a show goes off the air. You need to be prepared for this, and I advise you to only create something if you absolutely can't stand NOT to do it! IOW, I make my videos to share, yes, but I also make them for myself. If you write for your own enjoyment, then you won't be so disappointed if your work doesn't draw an audience. It's always disappointing, yes. I have promoted my Nikki & Nora vids, but not gotten much response, and that's discouraging, but I'm still glad I made them! I think that's the difference. If you want to watch any of my videos, look up my name: Donna Brooks on YouTube to find my channel.

Have fun, whatever you decide to do!
