A Day with the BRATleys

I'm debating on dedicating this whole journal to everything I hate about acdemia for the next three years. I've made it no secret recently what animosity I have for Bradley University and the people that run it and it's only gotten worse since classes started. I've yet to find anything that warrants them stealing over 7 times as much money from me as ICC does. Lydia Bradley is turning in her grave, seeing the way that school wastes money and seeing the kind of people they allow to attend. Here's an example: While walking home today I overheard a conversation between a frat boy and a flip-flop wearing sorority girl with a valley girl accent discussing a certain "teacher" that went something like this:

Girl: "...yeah, I like had a J-term with him, the Psychology of Addiction, and all he did was talk about all the drugs he did when he was in school"
Guy: "huh, cool"
Girl: "yeah, like cocaine and LSD and everything"
Guy: "Yeah"
(at this point I thought she was sort of annoyed by the "teacher," but I should've known better:)
Girl: "So, like after that I wanted to take all my psych classes with him. Gawd! He's such a great professor!"
Guy: "huh, cool!"
(I made fun of people that talk like this in the 80s and then in the 90s and people still talk like that. Some things never go out of style, I guess.)

I wish I was exaggerating this dialog, but sadly, I am not. Needless to say, I didn't think my opinion of psychology majors could get any lower...until today.
