This weekend and today were very very nice. Sunday was a bit boring because I didn't do anything except lie around the house all day, but yesterday certainly made up for it. Me, Daniel, and Augie were all just chillin on our way to Old Sac, and Augie said that he was probably going to go to San Francisco later on that evening to visit his sister and uncle. Then, Daniel said hey, I want to go, too. So, of course, I wanted to go and suggested that hey, let's go right now and get back around 10. We all said okay, gather supplies, and left around 2pm.
We stopped in Dixon to get something to eat, and we kept trucking. We got into San Francisco around 4:30, and after much searching for Geary St. we found Augie's uncles house. We hung out in his cool pad for a bit, and talking about Dick Cheny shooting his 78 year old lawyer in the face while quail hunting. His sister got there around 5:30, and she dropped us off at Walgreens while she went to her apartment to change. We had to go to Walgreen's to get Daniel some nazel spray, and while me and Augie were doing that, he bought me a rose and some chocolates for Valentine's Day. It was sweet.
When his sister came back, we went to Cha Cha Cha, which is a really kick ass Cuban restaurant, and had some dinner. Augie's sister got this really good wine/rum/juice drink for us all, and then we ate calamari, shrimp, and chicken. We went to Amoeba Records afterward, where I bought Daniel's Valentine's present: Black Sabbath's We Sold Our Soul for Rock 'N Roll. I believe he is thoroughly enjoying it.... or at least he better be.... and he is.
After that, Maria (Augie's sister) took us to the Presidio (where all the expensive houses are) and to two really beautiful beaches. I can't remember the name of the first one we went to, but it was so gorgeous under the moonlight with the city on one side, and the Golden Gate on the other. We went to China beach after that, where Maria and Augie raced the tide.
After Maria took us back to our car, we were back on our way home, at 9:30, 30 minutes before our preposed arrival time back home. Oh well. We figured we'd get home around 11. However, that was not the case. Fate had something else in store.
Inbetween Fairfield and Vacaville, after we spent a half hour looking for gas and a bathroom, the right rear tire blows out. We were there for about and hour trying to get the extra tire on the car (which wasn't a spare, but a tire taken off the car earlier because it was made before 1973). The jack that we used didn't have a base, and the safety light kept flickering on and off, plus, each time we put the jack on a higher setting, the car would start to roll forward. Yeah, that was fun.
We finally got home around 1am, where I got in trouble and scolded for not acting like a child but a tenant before my mother even asked if we were all okay from our experience on the highway. Yeah, she has her priorities straight.
Today was pretty good after school got out. I had a most wonderful evening with Daniel, eating chicken and assorted cream filled chocolates. Yup yup.
This weekend should prove to be pretty damn cool, too.
P.S. I got straight A's first semester. Oh yeah.
