For those of you who who have found alternate versions of your world through this place: have you ever brought someone from their universe to your own? And if so, what happened?

Also, Lisa. I have two questions.

I've done it, yes. There was nothing particularly unusual about what happened, except that I took care to make sure that bringing him into the future didn't change my own past.

What did you want to know, exactly?

Your past on his world, do you mean?

Curiosity.

I don't consider it to be a separate world, just a different time in my own world. If he wasn't there to do certain things, it could change the course of my world's history.

Really.

That's certainly an odd way of thinking about things.

Yes, really.

I think it's the only prudent way to think about it.

I know from experience that in at least some cases, changing things in my world won't do anything to affect community members from the "future".

Really? Can you give an example?

A version of my brother showed up, from a "future" of my own world. Things had happened differently in his past than in mine.

How...odd.

It's better that way.

I agree with you. I wish there was a way to know for sure without risking wrecking all of history with experimentation.

I'd hardly call my actions experimentation.
