Alright, City, I need some help settling a bet. For all those of you who live in New York or have been there enough times to know, which is better?

Gray's Papaya or Papaya King?

I'm voting for King just because I know stuff.

I'm hoping you know that I'm going to win and if she gets one more vote it won't matter.

Have you noticed that you have no votes?

I'm not so sure, unless you rig the votes. Or pay some people.

I'd rather lose.

You don't believe in cheating then?

peopleskills April 28 2009, 21:56:37 UTC
I believe it exists, but I'm not going to do it.

I would think you were an idiot if you said something about how cheating doesn't exist.

I would think I was too.

Then I'd have to laugh at you. By the way there was a woman who I think knows you that was asking me why a bunch of young girls were considering you a nice guy. You might want to inform her that putting it that way ...just sounds creepy.

That's my partner, Dr. Temperance Brennan. And explaining it to her wouldn't help, she doesn't understand that if you're honest and using facts, what you're saying still might not be welcomed with open arms socially.

There's a difference between being honest and using facts and making general assumptions based on those facts. Isn't there? Or does she generally not get that? It kind of seemed like she thinks that people are all in set boxes that group them based on how they should feel or something.

She's an anthropologist, which means she sees people in groups. And she's the best anthropologist in the world, so she's generally right about that stuff. She's good at understanding large group behavior but not really one on one situations.

Putting people into groups is what caused a lot of really bad things in my world. I generally get really bothered by it. Thanks to people that enjoyed grouping mutants as "dangerous" or "evil" a ton of people ended up forgetting to judge people based on an individual basis. But hey, that's not her fault so I shouldn't be going on like that, sorry. She doesn't seem like the type that groups based on discrimination or bias anyway.

People are in groups though, and no, she's not the kind that would judge morality on that type of thing. She's a good person, just a little odd.
