I'm reading Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller right now, and the entire time I've been reading it all I can hear is Patty Griffin. I read the inside of the back cover this afternoon, and it turns out he was listening to her when he wrote it. Crazy! It's a great book, I highly recommend it. I've been a reading machine lately, I finished three books while I was in California (The Ragamuffin Gospel, Bird by Bird and Emperor of the Air) and I'm on my way to finish another one tonight. I am a huge nerd!
This week has been pretty good- lots and lots of paper typing but no 8 am classes and things have definitely gotten better since monday. Monday went down in my gournal as one of the worst days in the history of my life. WIthout the bad days, the good days don't exist, right? I've been experiencing brokenness and lonliness on a whole new level lately, but it's definitely pushing me closer to the Lord. Is this stuff too deep for livegournal?
I got two free downloads tonight on Pepsi caps that people just gave to me! I downloaded the twothirtyeight song "modern day prayer" (because it's been stuck in my head since california) and the new Patty Griffin single "Love Throw a Line"- new album soon!
What a lame post.
