Why I'm doing this
For the last few weeks I have seen the stories of countless people here on LJ who are having financial troubles because of our economy. People losing their homes, unable to pay utility bills, put gas in their cars, buy groceries, or even provide Christmas for their children. And I want to help them all. I can't do it alone though because I am just barely getting by myself. But I am getting by. And I feel for those who aren't.
People have helped me when I needed it, and now I'm hoping to help others as well. ALL PayPal donation links or mailing addresses (shared with permission) will go directly to the person in need. My purpose is just to share what I can of their situation and hope that good samaritans will help with what they can.
If everyone who reads my entries donates even just $5.00 to someone, that could be hundreds of dollars for those people to buy food with. Or pay the bill to keep their electricity, heat, or water on. It could help with clothesor shoes for their children, or for a new job or job interviews. Or even gas for their car or bus fare to go to interviews and look for a job.
Please consider helping. Our society today is so cynical and it keeps us from reaching out to those in need.
