It's Bastille day today. One of those few holidays that I wish I could be celebrating.Nothing better than to have a long weekend and spend today eating pain au chocolat and drinking wine. Instead, I'm nursing a spain on my neck and dealing with the dreaded yearly health and safety inspection of the lab with the dreaded S&M queen of H&S. Come to think of it, being a bit of a French royalist, I should not be celebrating the day which marked the ending of the French royal court which resulted in the beheading of my favourite queen of all time. Still it would have been a nicer to be in Paris checking out the Bastille parade and enjoying the lovely weather we're having the the moment rather than sitting in my office dreaming of going home.
