So. Zane and Sally's Wedding.
Was pretty hectic getting transport there. Had to get up at 6 and run to Rick's house from Phil's place. Running in a penguin suit is not easy. Had a nice drive to Zane's place. Waited a while for the Groomsmen to get ready, then off to Port Arthur.
Very nice ceremony in the Port Arthur Historical Site. Wedding was held in the ruins of the chapel. There was a break in the rain long enough for the ceremony to take place and one of the bridesmaids to get sunburnt. Ouch!
Had a reasonably uneventful drive back to Lindisfarne Yacht Club for the reception. Much fun was had there. Met some people I hadn't fully caught up with since Highschool and College. Listened to speeches. Rick, Zane's dad, Sally's dad, and Zane spoke, and Zane's Dad's speech really stood out. Dinner was had, and then the dancing started.
I think Llewelyn and I did a 2-man tango. Quodd started up a congaline. I breakdanced to Brittany Spears. My Asshat was a key component to much of my dancing. Everything sorta became blurry afterwards. Rick was a damn good Master of Ceremonies.
I remember the taxi trip back to Phil's place. I was sat between Zane and Sally. They were dropped off at the Hotel, and Sally was panicy about something. I think it was because Rick and Renee drove past earlier on the Tasman Bridge. Rob the taxi driver signed the guestbook too.
Yes. Fun. And the best thing about it, I didn't get a hangover. *flex*
