Why I Love My Apartment:

1. Anthony
I don't really know if his name is indeed Anthony, but he is a waiter, or manager or restauranteer I see every day while I walk past Anthony's on the way to the subway. I think we have a thing going on. I've never said a word to him, but every time I pass we have a little eye following thing. If I was in an episode of Queer as Folk, I would have probably had sex in the bathroom with him already. However, being on a strip of restaurants way out of my currently-just-employed budget, I don't think I can eat....there, yet. Until then, he'll just have to be that guy who I kind of have a crush on.

2. The Cute Wine and Cheese shop
There is  a store that I also pass on the way to the subway every day  that has every type of cheese you can think of. It's great and my mouth waters whenever I pass it. You read it here first: The first money I make, after rent and bills, I am going to take and buy myself something really good. Some girls buy shoes or dresses. I like food.

3. The Twins
There are twin girls who live in the building next door. They are probably 6 or 7, have long braids and big brown eyes. I see them everywhere, and they are kind of the cutest things ever. I usually see them either in the small mini mart on the corner or in the larger grocery store 2 blocks down. They are always dressed alike. I want to steal one.

4. The Markets
As just previously mentioned, when standing on one street corner, you can see 3 more mini marts. And for every mini mart there is one fairly well stocked store front market. It makes it super easy to pick up milk (or pickles and popcorn, as I just did), and I don't have to trek out to the Supermarkets, which are all of 10 blocks away.

5. The Schools
Since there are two schools that neighbor my building, with the children come the Italian Ice ladies. They stand on the corner with their carts and handbells, dishing out different flavors. They are awesome.

And then there is so much more, but I am having a special "I love Brooklyn" day, so I just wanted to share.
