Into the deep from the dizzier heights is a dizzying transition. The world flies by, the logic and sheer rationality of the heights is left behind, and you find yourself deep down in your own id. You might think that this isn't a very safe transition, and you'd be right. You might think that this shouldn't be done without therapeutic supervision, and you'd be right. You might be surprised that it's legal at all, and you'd be right--it isn't, not outside of a therapeutic prescription that's *really* hard to get and allowed to be prescribed by only a handful of physicians, and that after going through a battery of tests simply to be referred to them. It's also highly addictive you see. Why wouldn't it be? The short version of it, the street version, is only designed to last for a few hours. The therapeutic version--well, they usually do an intravenous feed that keeps you in your id for a good week, though they pull it earlier if that seems called for. What I took was something in between, a street drug designed for the temporary high, modified somewhat (thanks, heights of intellect!) to last a little longer and be closer to the therapeutic version. My version of a watching, monitoring psychologist? My dog. Oh, it's not as ridiculous as you think--
