The light of love glowed through them when they looked at each other, strands of future hope and possibility filamenting around them until they lit up the space around them. She smiled. Yes, they would be very profitable. Those alien species who could see such things would view the pair as a true treasure of art. "Yes, I think I can find employment for the two of you," she said comfortably, smiling at the innocent pair. They would probably be fine. "Of course, if you're no longer together, the terms of your employment will be ended." They blushed, the darlings. Oh, her clients would love them. "Mind you, aliens are strange creatures, so--" "Aliens?" the boy said, blinking. "Oh, mercy, yes, they pay the best. If you insist, I can try--"
Inspiration: "Little light of love" from The Fifth Element soundtrack.
Story Potential: High.
Notes: Hmm, POV shift might be awkward, but manageable. Could go a couple of ways--either the aliens want a loving couple for some Terrible Purpose (prob. not going to go this route, as it reeks of B.S.), or the "what happens when one of them no longer loves the other?" path. That would be more interesting, I think. Whether released from contract or not, maybe abandoned on alien world? Maybe just contract shift.
