Janitor to the Vatican's Secrets: Genre Undetermined

In the darkest corner of the Vatican, there is a steep and winding stair. If you should be so foolish as to go down that stair, you will end up in front of a massive iron door, with saints and demons molded upon it. If you should have been so absolutely stupid as to accept the key when you were handed it, you may unlock the door and go inside. Assuming you didn't slop out most of your mop-water on the way down the stairs, like I did, you may then begin to clean the darkest, dankest, direst, most secret storeroom of the Vatican. You, too, can be a janitor for the high most holy guardians of the peace of this world and our hope of the next. At least, that's what they told me when they explained why they were so thrilled that a former black belt--

Notes: I like this. This guy's just the janitor--but most people couldn't handle his job. Has potential for episodic stories or a novel with overarching plot and more episodic things.
