A reason to post! Whooo!

Well, today was just interesting enough for me to actually write about. Now, this doesn't happen often but, I think today is special enough.

Today started out pretty average. I woke up late, rushed to get out of the door so I could get to work on time. I got into Vancouver around 8:30am and parked my car at the corner of Alberni and Denman and walked to work; which is at the bottom of Seymour. So then I worked for 8 or so hours (as people are wont to do) and decided to head home.

Right now I'm betting you're saying to yourself; "Wow, the day's almost done and he hasn't done anything of note. What the hell is he posting about?" Well, I'm getting to it, there needs to be some damn exposition here. You need to see how mundane my life truly is to understand the gravity of the upcoming event. I mean Jesus Christ! Who are you to judge? You can't let me get my literary groove on? No! You have to hurry me along so we can get to the climax of this story all for you. Well, did you ever think about me?! Maybe I want a little verbal foreplay. Get the juices flowing as it were!

Anyway, where was I? Oh yes. So I walk back to my car and start heading home. (Rant begin: By the way, there really needs to be a stoplight at the corner of Alberni and Denman. People are frickin' douche bags and won't let you in. You practically have to get out of your car and beat the crap outta the other drivers just so you can get out of the city! Rant end) I get on the bridge and the traffic seems to be flowing smoothly. I get my car up to about 70kph when all of a sudden the car in front of me comes to a dead stop. So I slam my brakes and come to within a centimetre of hitting him. Just as he starts to move I get a flash in my mind, I'm thinking "Crap, I'm about to be rear ended, aren't I." and just then WHAM! Right up the tailpipe. After a few seconds, when the initial shock passed, I started to move my car slowly forward; making sure the person that hit me is following.

We pull over at the off ramp and exchange information. She's a pretty nice lady, she was shaken by the incident, but otherwise seemed fine. I was really surprised to learn that there was more damage to her car than mine. She hit me pretty hard and my bumper wasn't even dented (save for the dent that I put there myself). After getting her info (except for the make and model of her car, cause I don't think I'll be filing a claim anyway) I headed home.

Now that I've been at home for a bit, I'm starting to notice little pains in my back, neck and hands. I hope it doesn't get bad, cause I'm really not interested in going after this woman.

So that was my day, weak start, strong finish.

Ciao
