You are not alone! I was actually reading fic earlier today, coincidentally enough. There's only a few on AO3, but I adore Frost and the Stolen Consorts, and Stonesight.

I still can't decide in Steve Rogers would be a consort, a warrior, or a soldier. Is Jane Foster a mentor or a queen?

Ahahaha. These are the important questions! I think Peggy was a queen, but Steve was a warrior who has consort abilities for ~reasons, but still couldn't breed (different sort of doomed love?). I lean towards Jane being a mentor, because she is such a nerd.

Oh, this is so pretty! I especially love the subtle coloring of Moon's scales and wings.

Thank you! I deliberately didn't explain the picture because when I read the books I knew so little about what would happen, and I didn't want to go down the spoilery road of explaining who this second, larger gargoyle person was. Moon is actually in "groundling" form here, while the gargoyle lady is Jade, the queen who has called dibs on him, as it were. Though really what that means is that I should encourage to read the books and find out who Jade is. Because they are great fun with just the right of hurt/comfort and worrying thrown in. :P

Oh, it is so *cool* to hear somebody else dig on The Cloud Roads as much as I do!!! It is just a little bit ridiculous how much I love that book and every Raksura in it, even the ones that pissed me off. So very eager for the third book to finally come out.

And Moon! Such a woobie-face!!! (In my mind, he looks a lot like a certain John Sheppard with a really good tan.)

I admit, I do kind of want Moon and Pearl to accidentally bond over how much they don't like other Raksura. Really, they think, why couldn't Indigo Cloud just be the only Raksura left on the planet? Wouldn't that be so much simpler for everybody? XD
