Went to see Predators today. All I have to say is: the main character of this movie appears to be Methos. I'd read that fic.

ETA: Ok, Adrian Brody looks like Peter Wingfield -- and during that one shot in the trailer with the targeting dots, he really looks like Peter Wingfield. But I went to this movie knowing that part of my enjoyment would be

Alex, walking in and glancing over my shoulder: I thought he looked like Methos as well! It's not, though. :/

I watched the Sherlock (BBC) trailer thing today and Sherlock's voice reminded me of Methos. (I'd read that fic.)

I can spot Peter Wingfield from a mile away, I it was the Pianist guy, but I pretty much went to the movie prepared to pretend it was Methos, and uh -- it worked very well.

As for Sherlock Holmes.... have you seen that Sanctuary episode?

And now I've seen your edit, I think you're right, that's definitely Methos in more than vague physical resemblance.

No, I haven't seen any Sanctuary, although it sounded interesting.

I haven't seen much Sanctuary either... but Peter Wingfield plays a steampunk Sherlock Holmes in a two part episode, perhaps more. He may turn out to be evil and/or die, though. I never actually saw the second part. :)

I hadn't paid much attention to the movie, but now I went and watched the preview and I really want to read that fic.

I take it Royce survives the movie? Are there any visible wounds that don't mysteriously heal?

Yes to the first, no to the second. Never injured, and pretty much in character for Methos all movie long. You can pretty much watch the movie as an intact Methos crossover. I say from experience. :D

On Royce and injuries

Yeah, actually, he is injured- he breaks or dislocates something in the very beginning- that crack when he readjusts his arm when he wakes up after landing definitely is something big, and his nose is bloody then, and he has a cut on his left cheek noticeable throughout. He also has a healed scar on the left side of his neck. Considering how well he uses his arm though, in a more than just I'm being hunted so I'm hyped on adrenaline way, I could definitely see having him having Immortal healing. And note how he beheads one of the dogs when they're first being chased by them, as if it's second nature, yeah, METHOS! This character could so very easily be Methos- it only would have been better if they'd had Wingfield play Royce's character. Now that- that would have been PERFECT.

All I have to say is my brain is mixing Predator universe canon and I want to see Adrien Brody in mesh and a mask, please.

Well, not all. I'm also finding myself wanting to write fic for the first time in ever, and I'd also be glad to read this crossover, too.
