In my defense, anyone who can make an adorable little drawing of her reaction to inadvertent cactus-punching, is probably not suffering from unimaginable pain :P

Just as an aside? If you drop one/knock it off a shelf/somehow cause it to leap to it's inevitable demise, do *not* try to catch it before it hits the deck. Yes, gravity will win against the succulent, but the cactus will still wreak vengeance on you for your attempted save either in the catch or, should you fail, the resultant clean up.

Either way, a double win for the plant [either directly or indirectly] and a double no-win for you.
