Haha, thank you! My copies have been sitting in the magazine basket in the bathroom for a few years. Very handy. :)

I have not read Tamora Pierce, but both the Futures are total fangirls. I made the Future of Fandom (age 19) read it to find out if it was appropriate (or spoilery) for the Distant Future of Fandom (age 12). She gave the OK, and I pointed DFoF to it.

Her reaction: "*sigh of bliss* Oh, this story makes me so happy!"

So the knowledgeable fans say: four thumbs up!

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry this story has been up for a MONTH, apparently, and I just saw the email about it now. I am not even done reading it, but I already find it ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, and I swear I will have many detailed things to say about it. I can't believe someone picked this prompt up, and I am so excited to read the rest. Thank you!

Thank you. :) I have to confess that yours was the original assignment I'd defaulted on, so your prompt was very easy to find. I'd been looking forward to writing it, and I was quite ticked off at myself when I failed to finish it on time.
