I'm back from Birmingham. It was a good weekend. I got to see marcy and meet a lot of new people. However it was hotter than hell after a ton of people filled the apartment.
We had to drive through a horrible storm on the way back yesterday. I thought that i was going to die. Then we got into a hugh traffic jam because an SUV burnt to a crisp (i don't think that anyone was hurt because the front seats only had a thin layer of soot) - I like to think that the SUV was struck by the lightening that had me cowering on the floorboard.
Apparently there was a tie for commissioner....so now they're having a runoff / debate tonight. The beautiful part is that the public forum selected for the debate is a bar. I'm more amused with politics now than i have ever been... more political debates should be held in unconventional / questionable venues. The novelty would attract larger crowds anticipating a spectacle. Besides holding political debates in unscrupulous venues would be beautiful situational irony.
