So last night was quite entertaining! I started off with some Chessmaster peeps (plus friends) over at the Dolphin Mall Friday's. Pleasant conversation and fun, which of course Dan missed because of his out of control Crotch Rot (he needs to start washing those tights in between gigs)... but in general much fun. The girls were even so kind as to pay for my drinks while I was outside getting hit on by a gay communist director for a Pro-Cuban production at Wolfson Campus. Strange, I know... but just par for Mikey's course. *grins*
From there I head down to Bryson's in Miami Shores, met up with a circle of friends I had not seen in some time, and was forced to consume a few completely nasty shots. One of my ex's showed up, started telling embarrassing stories (or at least they would have been for somebody else), and in general the evening was lovely once again.
From there I briefly hit up another bar, where yet another of my ex's was bartending, and hooked up with yet another group of friends. These were thankfully much nicer about their "birthday shots" and I actually got to drink some stuff I enjoyed.
Then I headed out to the Kendall Hooligans, where I met up with Miguel (ex-Chessmaster) and some other friends for some pool, and yet more shots. I ran across two friends I was NOT expecting to see from the Grove, so there was cool catching up. One of them is actually working as a video production editor now, which could come in quite handy as I finish my screenplay. One of the bartenders there played some country music, and a girl got up to do a three step. I think I either shocked, depressed, or impressed my friends when I joined her. *chuckles* I don't particularly like country, but dancing is fun no matter what the genre!
Then I finished off the evening with a trip to an afterhours place down by my house, where I ironically met up with yet ANOTHER childhood friend I was not expecting to see! We chatted over some last minute cocktails and in general had a good time.
Then I came home, only to find an absolutely HILARIOUS clip from the Jon Stewart show waiting for, as well as an offer to be a DJ for an online radio station from an old acquaintance in the gaming industry. Hrm.... DJing... that could be interesting! I might give it a whirl.
Anyways, you need to check out this clip. It's the Jon Stewart Show on BLOGGING!
