[summary] Sakura really didn't think things through.
The day their son finally came home -- if with a rather odd group of friends: a man strangely obsessed with Tomoyo, another whose enigmatic smile brought chills down Kero-chan's spine, and... and... a, well, clone, for lack of a better word, of both Sakura and their son, though Sakura and Syaoran were still rather confused about the entire episode -- was one of joy. Sakura had not even Dreamed it; it was that unexpected. To open one's front door one day and see the son you haven't seen for years because you decided to send him on a stupid mission to save the fabric of space and time... well, it was relief.
After the impromptu celebrations and the desperate clinging, and after sending the tired travelers to bed, the Li and Kinomoto families found themselves sitting around the living room. There was a contented quiet for quite some time before one by the name of Touya Kinomoto spoke up with a question that had been bothering him for a bit,
"Monster, let me get this straight. You sent your son to this alternate dimension in order to meet an alternate you so that he can help save the universe."
Sakura felt her eyebrow slightly tic from the childhood nickname, but found herself overall too happy to care. "Yes, but I told you this before, remember?"
"Also, he was saving universes, not a universe. Please get it straight, Kinomoto."
"Shut up, brat," Touya growled, halfheartedly throwing a pillow in the direction of his sister's... his sister's... husband. "Anyways, Sakura, so he disappeared for a very long time --"
"A decade," she murmured. Touya winced.
"-- and he finished his destiny, came back to visit, but is going to be leaving in a few days to go back to that other you's world to marry her."
"Uh-huh."
"And you've always known that they would get married."
"Well... I didn't know that far. I just knew from the dream that they were the only ones for each other."
"And the girl's you."
"... yes? Why are you asking these questions, onii-chan? You know them."
Touya paused. After a pensive moment, he bluntly stated (because, honestly, his sister was kind of thick), "You do know that means your son is basically marrying his mother."
The room stilled. The faces of Syaoran and Sakura were suddenly a few shades paler. Yukito hid a laugh in To-ya's shoulder. Nadeshiko had no reservations; she laughed gaily behind her husband. Fujitaka raised an eyebrow.
"So you didn't think that far ahead. I knew monsters were short-sighted."
"... h-hoe."
