Quote of the day: "What's the winter for? To remember love."
Haven't updated in a bit. I feel oddly fatigued, in spite of the fact that I had both friday and saturday off this past weekend (a rare treat indeed for an employee in the restaurant industry). The Death Cab show was stellar, despite it being (in my opinion) the least spectacular of their performances I've had the pleasure of attending. Inspired by the experience, I've been writing a bunch of new lyrics/music and evolving older stuff - Zach and Tre dammit we need to play. With regards to Mike's frat party, I concur with the majority opinion - the famine of beer and booze was the deciding factor in the party's overall level of enjoyability. Everyone around me seems to be sharing the same excruciating feelings that this damn quarter of school needs to end, NOW. The lectures drag drearily on and we shuffle around the Riv like freakin zombies - spring break will be our salvation. Soon, soon, soon. Zach, Canada is going to be bliss this summer; your boyish excitement over the whole matter has managed to squirm its way into my mind. Alan and Marco, you guys need to coordinate the details of your simultaneous return very soon so that we can all start planning.
The heater's shot so you spend frigid mornings
in the bathroom warming up your cold and aching frosted limbs with the hairdryer
prior to a lukewarm shower
compressed within the early hours
and hastened through with toothpaste stains
to catch the bus you used to miss
and that is why
you're down and going
